Spalding Guardian chapel wins

We've just returned to work having gained huge pay rises for journalists, not just at our papers, but throughout our group Welland Valley and at neighbouring Anglia Regional Newspapers and the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.

For some reason the company seems very shy about broadcasting the fact and a report in the UKPG last week made it look as if we had spent five weeks on the pavement for no reason - that couldn't be further from the truth.

It's fair to say that there is still much to be done and we're embarking on a recruitment campaign at our sister centres in Welland Valley on the back of our success.

We've been very disappointed with UKPG's coverage of our strike, which, when an article appears, seems very slanted towards our management!
