Changes in Dublin

DES FAGAN is to join the Dublin office as Irish Organiser. He replaces Séamus Dooley, who has been appointed Irish Secretary. Both officials will share responsibilities for freelances matters when Des takes up duty in January. He will have specific responsibility for the regional media (print and broadcasting) and Northern Ireland. As a member of the Dublin Printing Group of Unions, and previously an official of the GPMU, Des is familar with the industry and worked alongside NUJ members at the Irish Times in negotiations over the past year.
