His exhaustive and exhausting research played a significant part in the freeing of the "Cardiff Three", wrongly jailed in 1990 for the 1988 murder of a prostitute. Last month a man pleaded guilty to the murder, following a re-examination of the forensic evidence prompted by Satish's book.
