Thanks for the solidarity

I wanted to thank you all for your support over my victimisation case. When I was made redundant by the Rotherham Advertiser, following my election as deputy Father of Chapel after our pay strike, it was simply awful, but one of the things that made it easier was the encouragement and support fellow-members gave me.

We went to the tribunal at the end of July and came to an agreement out of court, the terms of which I am not allowed to discuss, but I am happy with the outcome and finally have the relief of putting the whole sorry affair behind me.

The NUJ have been great throughout all this, proving that they do give a damn when one of their activists is attacked by an employer, so I'd like to express my gratitude to them too.

So genuine thanks all round.
