Commercial radio rates

An increase of about 2.8 percent in freelance rates has been negotiated with the Commercial Radio Companies Association by the NUJ. Although the union is not recognised in the sector, by belonging to the CRCA radio stations have effectively agreed to pay the negotiated rates. While not altogether generous, the rates compare reasonably with salaries of between £12,000-£14,000 a year paid to staffers. Exact rates will appear at when released.
