Rough Guides freelances form chapelTHE NUJ has made a recognition request on behalf of travel book authors who do work for Rough Guides, owned by Pearson. After taking legal advice, the NUJ freelance chapel agreed to pursue recognition, and freelance organiser John Toner has therefore written to the company. A bargaining unit comprising 40 RG authors has been identified, and 24 have signed a petition requesting that the NUJ be allowed to represent them collectively.
