Save the BBC!
And also C4 and ITV...

The public service ethos in television is under threat again. The regulator Ofcom is holding a consultation on its Public Service Television Broadcasting Review, with some very bad ideas on the table. This include the complete privatisation of Channel 4, the ending of ITV's  public service broadcasting obligations (apparently it still has some) and "top-slicing" the BBC - diverting a portion of the licence fee to private sector production companies. The deadline for letting Ofcom know your views is 19 June. There's a draft response, which you can personalise before emailing it to Ofcom, at ofcomno.notlong.com
