Newsquest York titles end strike

Journalists at the York-based Newsquest titles The Press and The Gazette & Herald ended a five-day strike over low pay on May 27. Joint Father of Chapel (head of the union at the workplace level) Tony Kelly said, "We have not won our battle yet - it may well take quite a while." Freelances were among those on the picket lines.
