The announcement is now expected toward the end of May, according to the Financial Times (registration required). Apparently there's some ironing to do on the details of the arm's-length arrangements for Sky News.

Imminent NUJ demo over Sky sale

FOLLOWING media giant News International's admission of phone hacking at News of the World, the NUJ has called a demonstration outside the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) offices. That's at 2-4 Cockspur Street, London, SW1Y 5DH (map): tube Charing Cross, Leicester Square or Piccadilly.

The demo will be at 12 noon on the day DCMS announces its decision on the planned News International bid for BskyB. The announcement is expected on either 26, 27 or 28 April. For more details email campaigns@nuj.org.uk and sign the latest petition on the BSkyB sale here.
