Join the international earnings survey!

THE International Federation of Journalists, of which the NUJ is a member, is partnering with WageIndicator, a global wage survey that measures wages of over 1,500 different occupations and 400 industries in over 48 countries around the world to date. The UK survey is at www.paywizard.co.uk and that for Ireland at www.mywage.org/ireland.

With the participation of the IFJ and your union this year, journalists' salaries will, for the first time, be assessed on a global scale.

The survey will measure, in particular, journalists' average earnings based on experience, salaries of young journalists entering the profession and the gender pay gap in the profession (if any).

The analysed data will be published in different languages and made accessible online. The findings will serve as a national earnings indicator for journalists around the world.
