Meeting: a quandary
LONDON FREELANCE Branch still faces some interesting decisions in the coming weeks. While the government in England wants us to pretend that the pandemic is over, the SARS-COV-2 virus is refusing to co-operate and covid-19 cases continue to rise.
The Branch committee will make its own assessment - particularly of when is the proper time to resume meeting in person. The airy venue we have in mind for when we do resume face-to-face meetings is itself not certain when it will be able to host us.
So the meetings on Monday 13 April and Monday 9 May will be virtual meetings.
Our main topic on Monday 13 April will be the Creators' Rights Alliance campaign: Pay the creator. That on Monday 9 May will be how we report on nuclear weapons - at a time when the threat of nuclear war is probably as high as it’s been since 1962.
