Unsurprisingly, photographers are up in arms. And the Boston Globe abandoned a June 15 deadline on a "we get everything or you get nothing" contract after a storm of protest. Even better in principle if not in Croesus-like wealth, the "Nation" news magazine has agreed to share income from CD-ROMs and online databases with contributors, through the Authors' Registry.
