Meeting in Hebden Bridge
There will be an open meeting for freelances in Hebden Bridge,
called by the National Union of Journalists, on Monday 7 October at the
Trades Club, Holme St.
The meeting is aimed at freelance writers, photographers, editors, PR
consultants etc, and will be looking at the increasingly pressing issue of
copyright and digital rights. The NUJ's freelance organiser John Toner will
be present and will be explaining what freelance creators can do to protect
their rights in the digital age. There'll also be a chance to see a recent
video produced on the issue.
If you are a freelance - whether you're an NUJ member or not -
note the date now in your diary. Meeting will start at 7.30pm.
