Trireme Award

Cat News seems keen to win Worst of Breed in the Trireme Award, for terms "as bad as since I was last chained to the oars". "I noticed with wry interest Cat World's generous £15 per feature," a member writes: "They sent me a cheque for £5 for a full page picture - which I sent back with an invoice for £5 plus VAT and a letter pointing out their parsimony. Not only did they not pay the invoice, the Editor had the gall to try and bollock me for screwing up his system."
