OU goes by the book

A MEMBER writes: "I've just been asked for permission to reproduce an Observer article of mine on a password-protected Open University course website. They didn't mention money - but offered £60, same as the Guardian/Obs are charging, when I politely asked.

"I was pleased to hear that the Guardian/Observer told them I held the rights, and also that they bothered to go through the procedure instead of just linking to the article on the Guardian Unlimited site."
