The Gong is awarded to publishers who need a wake-up call on payment; and this month it goes to legal eagles Sweet & Maxwell and Lexis-Nexis (formerly Butterworths). They've installed new payment software. And, yes, it's taking six or seven weeks, and counting, to spit out cheques.
