Freelance conference 2004
The NUJ is organising a National Freelance Activists'
Conference, to take place in Manchester on 13 and 14 November of
this year. Its primary purpose is to improve the organisation of the
freelance sector. Topics for discussion will include: the role of
the freelance activist; negotiating collectively; model agreements;
and responding to copyright grabs.
Branches have been asked to nominate at least one delegate by Monday,
October 11. This deadline will be strictly enforced. Places will be
limited to 60, and it is likely the event will be oversubscribed.
If you wish to attend you will require to be nominated by your branch.
Your Branch should send its nominations to the
Freelance Office.
