Regional Press Awards ‘saved’ by NUJThe NUJ is now the sponsor of the Regional Press Awards: see links below. This follows the announcement by the Wilmington Group that it would no longer sponsor the Awards. This seems odd to the Freelance, since at the time Wilmington sold the Press Gazzette but hung on to the awards franchise it was reported that the latter was making a profit and had been subsidising the former. Nominations close on 18 May 2010 and the award ceremony will be on 29 June. |
