Biography: how’s that work?
Biography: how's that work, then? This is the question that London Freelance Branch will be addressing at its meeting on Monday 11 February.
Speakers will include Claire Tomalin, biographer of Mary Wollstonecraft (1974), Percy Bysshe Shelley (1980)... and Charles Dickens (2011).
Accompanying her will be Tom Penn, editorial director at Penguin Books, who commissions biographies.
And Hilary Macaskill will explain how she came to write Charles Dickens at Home. Watch for further details of this meeting.
It's at 7pm at Friends' House, Euston Road - in the "Small Meeting House" which is considerably larger than our usual room, suitably for such a star-studded event. See the link below for map and details.
