War, peace & the media

Bruce Kent, vice-president of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, will speak on "War, peace & the media" at 6:30pm on Tuesday 4 June at Headland House, the union's head office.

The meeting is organised by the NUJ's PR & Communications Branch, and all union members and colleagues are welcome.

Among Bruce Kent's concerns are "how the mainstream media usually follow the government line when it comes to military matters". This is informed by his decades of experience of campaigning for peace.
