Is it time for a Freelance Rights Movement?

THE FREELANCE will be going to see what's going on at an event entitled "Freelancers Unite! Is it time for a Freelance Rights Movement?" on Wednesday 29 May in Islington.

Speakers include Marianne Cantwell, author of bestselling Be A Free Range Human: Escape the 9-5, Create A Life You Love and Still Pay The Bills (Kogan Page, 2013), recently featured in Business Week, CNN Money Watch, and (eek?) Psychologies; and Louis Clark Press Officer at PCG, the group primarily representing IT contractors.

Of course, the NUJ already runs a pretty effective freelance rights movement...
