Reed Business Information has contacted people who work shifts on its titles to say that the company will not engage them directly any more. Instead, they have become part-time employees of Reed Recruitment (no relation).

RBI has, the Freelance understands, promised that no casual worker will lose out compared to their current terms and conditions. At issue now is discovering exactly what the new contracts entail.
