BBC Radio 5 live, BBC Breakfast and Radio 4 You and Yours are
looking for tenacious, committed and experienced journalists to join
its new Journalism Talent Pool based at Mediacity, Salford.
We are offering a fantastic opportunity to receive training and support in
broadcast journalism skills. On completion of the training successful
candidates will be in a position to be offered ad hoc shifts at 5
live, Breakfast or You and Yours. They will also be eligible to apply
for internal BBC News vacancies for the first six months.
We are
looking for journalists with a minimum of two years' newsroom
experience. The right applicants will have a good contacts book and
understand how it can be applied to network news output. They will
demonstrate a passion for, and knowledge of our programmes, and be able
to help reach new audiences through the insights gained from your own
life experiences.
Applicants will need to be available for training for
various dates throughout June. If you are interested in applying please

The Talent Pool project is particularly aimed at experienced journalists with print experience and the BBC plans to give the some training to bridge the skills gap into broadcasting.
