This months's Trireme Award for the "worst terms and conditions since I was last chained to the oars" goes to the unnamed Westminster-based company for whom Graham Timpson is the contact. This entity's Gumtree ad seeks "Five Long Term Writers... our rate is £15- £20 per article depending on word count... we require 300 to 500-word articles" and "expect at least ten articles per week" on topics such as UK probate law.

Were it to take at least two and a half hours to come up with a decent 500-worder on probate from scratch, this rate would be just above London Living Wage. Were it to take you three hours, it would come in just below National Minimum Wage. We can't imagine anyone with a highly employable legal backgrond working for Mr Timpson for that money.
