SAY auf Wiedersehen to Zoom – after a careful think, we're back with an in-person celebration!

A synthetic Xmas party

A freelance journalists' christmas party - generated by Dall-e-2 - if anyone in this image is real, will the photographer please contact us? See The march of the robo-photo.

Join us for a much-awaited Winter Party on Monday 12 December from 6.30pm onwards at St Anne's Church Hall, 55 Dean St, Soho, W1D 6AF. The nearest tube is Piccadilly Circus, but Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road are within a few minutes' walk too. Here's a map.

We'll be hosting the event in teamwork with the good people of London Magazine Branch – a splendid time is guaranteed for all basically. You remember...

Apart from the standard party fare, there will be plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices of food available, as well as a wide variety of soft and alcoholic drinks, even a warming tea or coffee fresh from St Anne's rather nice kitchen should it turn out a bit parky – but please let us know if there are any requirements you think we should be aware of. The community hall at St Anne's is fully accessible for wheelchair users but if you have any accessibility concerns, just get in touch with us.

Feel free to share the invite with NUJ colleagues or indeed non-members who might just join the union if they see us in party mode – the more the merrier!

Please let us know you're coming - répondez s'il vous plaît - at cristina.lago@gmail.com so that we can keep track of numbers and cater accordingly – last-minute réponses are welcome.

Taking a lateral flow in advance is recommended for the general good. Feel free to wear a mask if you prefer to. Hand sanitisers will be available at the venue and the hall has conservatory-type doors that open onto a courtyard we can use for ventilation, um, chilling out and fresh air depending on the weather.

Doors open from 5pm for anyone willing to help set up...

We look forward to seeing you!
