Rory Peck Trust opens Crisis Fund for freelances

THANKS TO funding from the Printing Charity, the Rory Peck Trust is able to provide financial assistance through a Crisis Fund and a Therapy Fund for British or UK-based freelance NUJ members whose livelihoods or mental health have been affected as a result of their work as journalists.

The Crisis Fund provides grants to freelance NUJ members in need of urgent financial assistance, to enable them to continue their valuable work.

The Therapy Fund covers the cost of treatment for freelance NUJ members who would benefit from professional psychological support.

The Rory Peck Trust also has a Training Fund that offers fee support for freelances to do safety training courses, focusing on reporting in hazardous environments.
