Egypt declares journalists to be ‘terrorists’

DOHA-based broadcaster Al Jazeera Media Network has condemned a decision by an Egyptian court to put several of its journalists back on to its latest "terrorism" list. In a statement on 25 July, tbe broadcaster urged the Egyptian authorities to "reconsider and refrain from measures that impede journalistic work and restrict freedoms".

Being on the list means that these journalists are subject to arrest, particularly if they attempt to enter or leave Egypt.

The Freelance is still trying to work out when or why any were taken off, and how to do that again.
