Solidarity by journalists worldwide

JOURNALISTS around the world are protesting against the killing of colleagues by the state of Israel in Gaza. We are currently aware of the following events:

Let us not forget the living: the Committee for the Protection of Journalists reports that the state of Israel was in 2023 also the country with the seventh-words record for imprisoning journalists, with 17 officially recorded in jail.

And on 1 February the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights condemned the killing and silencing of journalists, referring particularly to instances in which our collleagues had clearly been targeted.
