Freelance Journalism Awards

THE Freelance Journalism Awards 2024 are open for submissions, with a deadline of Wednesday 22 May. There is no charge.

The nine categories this year are:

• Best Broadcast Journalist - sponsored by Women in Journalism
• Best Print Journalist - sponsored by London Freelance Branch
• Best News Story - sponsored by Birmingham City University
• Best Feature - sponsored by London Freelance Branch
• Best Investigation - sponsored by Savanta
• Best Specialist Journalist - sponsored by London Freelance Branch
• Best Piece of Work by a Student or Early Career Journalist - sponsored by News Associates
• Best Opinion Writer or Columnist - sponsored by xTiles
• Best Campaigning Journalist - sponsored by Paydesk

There will be a £100 prize for each category winner (plus a goody bag) as well as a trophy and an invitation onto a podcast for a special awards series.
