Journalism during a genocide: a guide
ON 13 MAY the Independent Alliance of MPs delivered to lobby correspondents in Westminster Journalism During a Genocide - subtitled "A guide to holding the Prime Minister to account". We present it here, with permission, for the rest of us.
The members of the Independent Alliance are Jeremy Corbyn, Shockat Adam, Adnan Hussain, Ayoub Khan and Iqbal Mohamed. All were elected as independent MPs in the 2024 general election.
Their handbook offers 20 questions that any journalist who gets an opportunity may wish to put to the Prime Minister, or other Ministers. It's just 1850 words, including references. We suggest you read it all and send your comments.
