I have ten years experience as a freelance and 17 years as a journalist, writing news and features, latterly mainly on health topics. I recently became a full time freelance again after a four year stint as news editor for Therapy Weekly, an Emap Healthcare publication. I have also been commissioned to write a book about breast cancer in a series of healthcare books for John Wiley, the publisher. In 2002 I won a special commendation in the Medical Journalism/Norwich Union awards for a piece on financing healthcare.
