New legal emergency number

THE NUJ's deal with solicitors Thompsons includes initial legal advice for members on many matters. To apply for this, write to the Freelance office.

Immediate telephone advice is available only in case of emergency and only in England and Wales.

If you have just been arrested, for example, call 020 7624 8888 during office hours - ask for Sue Moroney. Outside office hours, call the pager service on 07 659 118 181.
