Singapore Tax

Max Glaskin states in his letter in the July Freelance that Singapore's withholding tax is 10 per cent. I have worked for a book publisher in Singapore for many years and only ever been charged 2.5 per cent on book advances and royalty payments. My accountant has always been able to offset this against my UK tax liability.
