Sorry to Safari browser users

THE Freelance apologises to users of the Safari browser program (on Macintosh computers). Some of our too-clever bits don't work with this program.

In particular, it doesn't like the Interest and penalty calculator. And we have a report of it barfing when members try to register with the new bulletin boards.

We've tried hard to work out what's going wrong - it worked until we updated the interest rates on 1 January - but we can't get enough information out of Safari about what it's objecting to. Offers of help from those with more debugging skills would be much appreciated.

Happily, everything appears to work well with the free Mozilla/Firefox and with the equally free Opera.
