Stills no more?
NEW DEVELOPMENTS in top-of-the-range video cameras could spell the death of still photography, with all photographers shooting on video cameras with "professional" quality stills capture capability. New machines like the Sony HVR-V1U HDV video camera (at over "1,600) are getting there, and there are already more expensive machines that shoot video but can turn out high quality stills. Freelance photographer Pete Jenkins predicts that within five years - in time for the London Olympics - "video will be standard" for photographers.
