Objecting in Parliament Square?

THE 5 NOVEMBER Day of Action for all journalists in the NUJ is only now only two months away. The main event will be a lobby of the Society of Editors' Conference in Manchester, marching from the Manchester Evening News to the Radisson Hotel, the conference venue. See Standupforjournalism.org.uk for further developments. The NUJ hopes to bring members from as many Branches and Chapels as possible. Events in London provisionally include London Freelance Branch objecting to certain Parliamentary documents in Parliament Square and a lunchtime event for London-based BBC freelances. Firm details  follow shortly. And the London Freelance Branch is still open to imaginative suggestions for Day of Action actions. The NUJ's website also has updates.
