We want recognition at the BBC
All freelances who work for the BBC are invited to attend a meeting at the union's London office on Monday 5 November. Although it makes more use of freelance journalists than any other UK media organisation, the BBC refuses to allow the NUJ to represent them. It is vital that it is persuaded to negotiate with the NUJ on rates and rights. There's a meeting to launch a petition calling for this from 12.30pm to 2pm at Headland House - 308 Gray's Inn Road, near King's Cross tube. Please contact the Freelance Office by email if you are interested in attending.
