School for sleuths of pseudo-science

The Centre for Investigative Journalism's investigative summer school at London's City University from 9-11 July is offering places to NUJ members at the discounted price of £300. It will feature sessions including protecting sources, working undercover, number-crunching statistical and forensic accounting investigative techniques. This year's summer school also has the theme of investigating pseudo-scientific claims made by various interest groups on health, climate change and other issues. Dr Ben Goldacre, the Guardian's "Bad Science" columnist, will be among the tutors, as will LFB's own freedom of information expert Heather Brooke.
