THERE'S a FREE training event, including lunch on Five Strategies for Success, for young freelance members. This is an FEU Training event (the Federation of Entertainment Unions, of which the NUJ is a part.)

It's on Wednesday 22 June at the Musicians Union, 60-62 Clapham Road, London SW9 OJJ. Kick-off is at 10.30, with a ":networking lunch" at 1pm.

Please note that for the next few months, the NUJ HQ is being renovated, it will re-open with a bar and social space on the premises. Until then, all NUJ training events will be at other venues across London, so please check carefully the details of any training you sign up to. The best way to keep track of upcoming NUJ training events is via the Twitter feed of the Union nationally, via @nujofficial.

And, as if to emphasise what good value the above are for NUJ members, the Press Association sends details of its courses: this link offers, for example, a sub-editing course on 16-17 June for £816 including VAT.
