WE ARE DELIGHTED to welcome Khaled Shalaby, London-based Executive Producer and Head of Video Operations at Middle East Eye. Khaled brings extensive experience in newsroom production, field reporting, and digital media.

This session will focus on pitching news video pieces for the Middle East Eye video unit — and, as always, we’ll also make space for your own questions and ideas.

How to use LinkedIn

LONDON Freelance Branch is holding a “coffee morning“ session on how to use LinkedIn on Thursday 27 November from 12:00 to 13:00. We will hear from Jonny Wing, leads LinkedIn corporate communications work in EMEA; Vikki Speed, senior executive communications manager; and Yessi Bello, head of community for LinkedIn UK and pan Europe and former New York Times journalist.

This session will help journalists make the most of LinkedIn, from optimising your profiles and discovering stories to building engagement through newsletters and video. Participants will also receive free access to LinkedIn Premium for one year after completing the training.
