Alan Slingsby 1949-2026

WE MOURN stalwart Branch member Alan Slingsby, who died on 28 January. Alan was “a brilliant production editor,” Tim Gopsill told the February Branch meeting. “He worked with me on the Journalist for 20 years – he could do a 32-page magazine in three hours.”

The Branch held a minute's silence for Alan.

Alan worked on many trade union and progressive publications. He was editor of the free community newspaper the Brixton Bugle, which prints and gives away 9000 copies per issue and of the Brixton Blog.
