Reporting covers a multitude of different kinds of work - from writing up council meetings for local papers that still bother, to translating scientific papers into something like English for Nature, to hanging around outside clubs to garner celebrity trivia for a bite-size TV spot...
This is an experimental list of all suggested rates for reporting, as a database "cross-section" across all publishing and broadcasting sectors. So the editors may be as surprised as you at some of what appears below.
For advice, tips on negotiating, etc, follow the link to the relevant sector from its rates header. There you will also find, for example, much better information on reporting work paid for by the word (or 1000 words) by print media.
