Remembering journalists killed worldwide

WE REMEMBER in anger all journalists killed in the line of duty, everywhere.

So far in 2025 the US-based Committee to Protect Journalists - which has attracted some criticism for publishing conservative estimates of the numbers killed - lists 16 journalists killed. Of these, 10 died on Gaza and we remember them here.

The six who the CPJ reports being killed elsewhere are:

Mukesh Chandrakar of Bastar Junction, killed in India on 2 January
